Our second special Shabbat service will take place on February 14.
Cantor Yael will present a “Sermon in Song,”a composition by Cantor Stephen Freedman of the Cantors Assembly. Perhaps the best way to describe this piece comes from its opening line” Today we're going to go on a musical voyage and explore the music of the synagogue and of our people.”You'll hear familiar melodies and some you may not have heard before, and you may even figure out what Yael means when she says that if you were a Jewish Rip Van Winkle and had slept for a hundred years, you'd know where and when you were just by hearing one of these melodies or chants!
