Chesed - Loving Kindness

Chesed is a member-to-member network where, by doing acts of loving kindness, we help those in our Mishkan Torah community who are experiencing life's challenges.  

We can and have helped congregants with meal trains,providing meals for a week or two after a new baby or surgery, for example;  transportation to and from doctor and other appointments; friendly visits and/or phone calls; and bereavement support from the Funeral Practices Committee.  Our Funeral Practices coordinator is Risa Lapidow.

Additional services for assistance are provided by the state of Maryland as well as local counties and communities.
