In-Person Book Talk With Nancy Ludmerer- Have you ever visited Venice and explored its famous Jewish Ghetto—the first segregated Jewish quarter in history—or simply read about it? Now is your chance to learn about a remarkable Jewish woman who lived there in the 1600s.Join New York–based, award-winning author Nancy Ludmerer as she discusses her novella, Sarra Copia: A Locked-In Life. Nancy will share the challenges and rewards of transforming a sparse historical record into a compelling work of fiction while remaining true to her subject. The talk begins at 7 pm. Following the presentation, there will be an opportunity for questions and discussion. Refreshments will be served.
