The Executive Committee met on the evening of March 12, 2020 and out of an abundance of caution and with thoughts of Pikuach nefesh voted to follow Governor Hogan’s announcement and close Mishkan Torah starting today through (and including) March 29. This includes:
· All services
· All Meetings
· KFS Classes and activities
· Special celebration for the Ungars on 3/14
· Young Leadership on 3/21
· Greeter Training on 3/15
We will work to reschedule these events after this issue has passed. No individuals will be allowed in the building during this time except for administrative staff to ensure that all Mishkan Torah administrative functions can continue.
We will re-evaluate the situation as warranted.
We will be working with the rabbi to determine how best to meet the spiritual needs of the congregation during this time.
Please understand that to our knowledge no one in the congregation has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
We will be in touch with additional plans and communications as they become available.
