Rabbi Saul F. Oresky is passionate about Jewish education for students of all ages. He has been teaching continuously since he was 16: in post-Bar/Bat Mitzvah programs, in religious schools, and in tutoring well over 300 B’nai Mitzvah students. He hails from the Washington, DC area. He is a 2013 graduate of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College (RRC) in Wyncote, PA. Saul left his Federal government job as a technical writer-editor at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC, in July 2014 after a 24-year career there and after 12 years in private industry before that. From August 2014 to August 2017, Saul served as rabbi of Ohev Tzedek-Shaarei Torah in Boardman, Ohio, a township of Youngstown. Saul's wife, Phyllis, earned an MSW from the University of Maryland in Baltimore in 1982, worked as a renal dialysis social worker at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD for 30 years and currently works at Fresenius Medical in Beltsville. Saul and Phyllis have three grown children, all of whom were raised and Jewishly educated in Mishkan Torah. Saul and Phyllis are happy to be back home!
