A Jewish Worship Experience for Body, Mind and Spirit

     This hour-long practice combines elements of a classical Hatha Yoga class with four traditional parts of the Jewish worship service including Birchot Hashachar (Introductory Prayers), Shema uvirchoteha (Shema and its Blessings)  T’filah (Intermediary Blessings) and Concluding Prayers (Adoration, Kaddish, Healing).  The entire practice is accompanied by sacred music—some of which are Lisa’s original compositions.

 earned her Bachelors Degree in Music from University California Irvine and went on to Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York, where she completed her Masters Degree in Sacred Music. Lisa is currently the Cantor of Temple Shalom in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Lisa has released two songbooks of her original worship music “The Lisa Levine Songbook and Soulful Shabbat”. Her other compositions are published by Transcontinental Music. Her songs are sung and recorded in synagogues around the country and appear in 12 Anthologies. Her CD’s include “Reaching For Peace”, “Gems of the High Holy Days”. Her most recent recording  “Mis Canciones Para Los Judios De Cuba" My Songs for the Jews of Cuba, features songs inspired by her visits and concerts in Havana.   Lisa has shared “Yoga Shalom”around the country and is pleased to announce that i
