Greenbelt Walk to End Homelessness

Do you know that there are nearly 12,000 homeless persons in our region?   Mishkan Torah invites you to join in a community effort to raise awareness and funds to help those in need of shelter

Who:  The entire community is invited to participate

What:  2013 Help the Homeless Walk, benefiting the Community Crisis Center of Prince Georges County

When: Meet at 12:45 on October 19, 2014 (come at 12:30 if you plan to register on the day of the walk).

Where: Gather at Mishkan Torah and walk around Greenbelt Lake in Buddy Attic Park --approximately 2 miles

Why: Because funds are needed to help shelter those without homes

You can register online.  The registration fee is $20 per walker – $50 for a family of three or more.

Walk funds go directly to the local nonprofit, Community Crisis Services, Inc. (CCSI), to support its Homeless Services Division, which includes the Warm Nights Emergency Hypothermia Shelter Program.
