Sensory Friendly Family Shabbat Service

There will be a Sensory Friendly Family Shabbat Service on Friday, April 7, from 7 to 8 PM.  This service will be led by Nadine Wobus, MT-BC and students from our Hebrew School.  They will encourage everyone to participate, with lots of songs and stories, as well as traditional prayers.  There will be adaptations and support which will make it accessible to children and adults on the Autism Spectrum.  Seating will be arranged in a large semi-circle.  Behind the chairs will be an open area for those who wish to stand up, move around, dance to the music, etc.  Small percussion instruments and scarves will be made available to further encourage everyone to participate.  There will also be a Quiet Room downstairs for those who need to take a little break.  This event is co-sponsored by our Inclusion Committee, Social Action Committee, and Children's Education Committee.
