Our Rabbi, Saul Oresky

Rabbi Saul F. Oresky is passionate about Jewish education for students of all ages. He has been teaching continuously since he was 16: in post-Bar/Bat Mitzvah programs, in religious schools, and in tutoring well over 300 B’nai Mitzvah students. He hails from the Washington, DC area. He is a 2013 graduate of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College (RRC) in Wyncote, PA, and has been teaching and officiating in Jewish lifecycle events for the last year. He left his Federal government job as a technical writer-editor at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC after a 24-year career there and after 12 years in private industry before that.  Saul's wife, Phyllis, earned an MSW from the University of Maryland in Baltimore in 1982, worked as a renal dialysis social worker at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD for 30 years.
