Holiday Letter to Non-Members

Dear Friend,

Although we are in the dog days of summer, the first sign of fall is enclosed: your High Holiday seat order and information packet. Tickets are required to attend services on Rosh Hashanah (Sept. 21-22) and on Yom Kippur (evening of Sept. 29 to sundown, Sept. 30). Tickets for nonmembers cost $250. Tickets are also required for attendance at the Family Service and for participation in the babysitting co-op. Family Services are provided at no cost.

Some of you have been attending High Holidays at Mishkan Torah for many years. I’d like to encourage you this year to consider becoming a member. If you would like information about membership, please contact me at 301-587-1316. The cost for a family is $1500 and a single $880. We offer variances and payment plans for those unable to pay the full amount. High Holiday tickets—2 per family membership and 1 per single membership—are included in the membership cost.

This year we will once again have an open seating arrangement and there will be no assigned seats. Please see the included sheet for more information.

Exciting programs are planned for Family Services and babysitting. Please see the seat reservation form, the schedule of services, and the Family Service and babysitting information sheets enclosed for more details. From the quiet introspection of Selichot and the High Holidays to the joy of Sukkot and Simchat Torah, the holidays help us find ourselves both secularly and Jewishly. All of us at Mishkan Torah look forward to sharing the start of the New Year together with you and your family.

May you be inscribed for a sweet New Year.
