Gala Farewell for Rabbi Jonathan, Mona, and Reuben                                                  

Circle your date books for Sunday, June 4 at 2:00 PM. for a special farewell gala for Mishkan Torah’s beloved Rabbi Jonathan Cohen, Mona, and Reuben. Rabbi Cohen has announced that he will retire and return to Montreal around August 1,2017 after nineteen memorable years as Mishkan Torah’s longest tenured Rabbi during which time he has become a fixture of the Jewish and Greenbelt communities.

The event will feature a catered menu of hors d’oeuvres, coffee, tea, and desserts. There is going to be a program of tributes and speeches from members of the Community and the Synagogue . There will be musical entertainment from various Mishkan Torah artists of both a humorous and more serious variety. The Choir will perform a special number written expressly for the occasion. The Not Ready for Purim players will appear with their usual potpourri of cheap theatrics.

You will not want to miss this opportunity to meet and greet the Cohens and to thank Rabbi Jonathan for his service and devotion to Mishkan Torah and its Congregants.Tickets are $36 for adults and half for children. If you cannot be present you can still make a donation.
